The longtime CBS franchise, ‘NCIS,’ has received three separate renewals, including NCIS, NCIS: Los Angeles and NCIS: Hawai’i, according to Variety. The original show began airing in 2003, and spinoff NCIS: Hawai’i aired its first episode in 2021, while NCIS: Los Angeles began airing in 2009.
NCIS will return for a 20th season, NCIS: Los Angeles for a 14th season and NCIS: Hawai’i for a second season. The franchise will also continue making spinoffs, with NCIS: Sydney currently in the works for Paramount Plus Australia.
“‘NCIS,’ is one of the most popular and enduring series in the world, and fan favorite NCIS: Los Angeles have been hugely successful on the CBS schedule for years,’ Kelly Kahl, president of CBS Entertainment, said in statement. “With the strong new addition of ‘NCIS: Hawai’i,’ we are able to expand the strength of this formidable franchise across our schedule. We couldn’t be more excited to have all three talented casts and creative teams back to bring more compelling NCIS stories to viewers in the U.S. and around the globe.”
The cast of the original series now includes Sean Murray (Hocus Pocus), Wilmer Valderrama (That ’70s Show), Brian Dietzen (From Justin To Kelly), Diona Reasonover (Clipped) and Katrina Law (Hawaii Five-O).
NCIS: Hawai’i now consists of Vanessa Lachey (Love is Blind), Alex Tarrant (Filthy Rich), Noah Mills (The Brave), Yasmine Al-Bustami (Lucky), Jason Antoon (Armstrong), Tori Anderson (No Tomorrow) and Kian Talan (Cicada).
NCIS: Los Angeles includes Chris O’Donnell (Scent of a Woman), LL Cool J (Lip Sync Battle), Linda Hunt (Silverado), Daniela Ruah (Red Tails), Eric Christian Olsen (Fired Up!), Medalion Rahimi (Before I Fall), Caleb Castille (Woodlawn) and Gerald McRaney (Major Dad).
