This new comedy is currently untitled, but it will mark the iCarly alum’s second broadcast pilot.
NBC has chosen Miranda Cosgrove (iCarly) to co-star in its new Suzanne Martin comedy.
This family comedy centers on a couple who’s kids have recently left the nest. The couple’s plans backfire when their two adult daughters move back home.
Miranda Cosgrove will portray Shea, who is the younger of the two daughters. Her character has a doctorate in astrophysics and wants to pursue becoming an astronaut, but she is slightly socially awkward.
Suzanne Martin (Hot in Cleveland) will write the script for the multigenerational family comedy. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Hazy Mills’ Sean Hayes and Todd Milliner will executive produce the Universal Television comedy alongside Martin. James Burrows will direct and executive produce.
This untitled comedy will mark Miranda Cosgrove’s second pilot broadcast. The actress was attached to NBC’s 2013 comedy pilot, Girlfriend in a Coma. If the Martin comedy does turn into a series, it will be Cosgrove’s first broadcast series regular role since Nickelodeon’s iCarly and Drake & Josh.
Miranda Cosgrove is represented by WME, Anonymous Content and Gang Tyre.
