National Geographic Channel will no longer move forward with scripted series Act of Valor.
According to Deadline, back in October the network announced the series was to be the network’s first scripted series. This is no longer the case.
“NGC is unfortunately not moving forward with Act Of Valor in favor of other scripted projects we have under consideration that will be announced soon,” National Geographic Channel announced in a statement.
The series is based on 2012’s successful Navy SEAL film of the same name. The network had a formal deal with Relativity and Studiocanal’s Tandem Communications. The Bandito Brothers were the creative team behind the film and collaborated with Relativity in 2012 to create the TV series. There was never an official deal in place. There were conflicting plans as to how the series should be. Because of this, the series was scrapped, as the network couldn’t reach a deal with the Bandito Brothers.
