According to TVLine, Natalee Linez (Blood, Beach Betrayal, Tell me Lies) will be joining the cast of the upcoming FBI spinoff, CIA, as a series regular, which will air on CBS. Linez appeared on the series Chicago P.D. in three episodes as the forensic psychologist, Val Soto, who becomes the love interest to character, LaRoyce Hawkins’ Atwater, during the last season of Chicago P.D..
TVLine also mentioned that in the new FBI series, Linez will be portraying character, Gina Rojas. Rojas is CIA analyst working along side of a CIA case officer,Tom Ellis (Washington Black, Exploding Kittens) and Nick Gehfuss (Chicago Med, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia). Ellis is the Case officer and Gehfuss is the FBI agent, all three characters will be working in the New York FBI agency. The three of them will be learning to work together finding their own strengths to investigate criminals that will be posing threat on the American soil. The series will also star Actor Michael Michele (How To Loose a Guy In 10 Days, The Hunt for the BTK Killer) as the head of the New York station. MXDWN.com also discussed that Michele will be joining the cast of CIA.
Dick Wolf (The Death Row Informant, Chicago Med) the executive producer for many crime drama series will be the EP on the new FBI spinoff, CIA. TVLine continues to discuss that, originally CBS gave the green light last April for the show to premiere this fall. After the change in showrunner, Warren Leight (Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, The Night We Never Met) replaced the past CIA got pushed to be mid season replacement premiering in the spring of 2026. According to mxdwn, Leight will work along side of of Wolf and Wolf entertainment as EP of the new series in the Wolf Universe.
