Cesar Millan has signed an agreement with Nat Geo Wild for a new series. Cesar 911, the name of the show, is produced by ITV Studios America in association with Leepson Bounds Entertainment. Millan’s series will premiere Friday, March 7, at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Nat Geo Wild and also on Nat Geo Mundo. Cesar 911 will bow internationally in April on Nat Geo Wild with a different name, Cesar to the Rescue.

This new series will take Cesar Millan into the heart of communities as he answers their call for help with unruly dogs. When Millan arrives in the neighborhood, he quickly evaluates the situation at hand and within moments begins to turn the situation around.

Positive results show up fast; Millan’s tools: calm and assertive approach to rehabilitating problem dogs. But in many instances, rehabilitating the dog is not the hard part. Training the humans to be composed, confident pack leaders themselves is the tricky part.

Each episode of Cesar 911 will consist of two stories within one community. Cesar first meets with the whistle-blowers to get briefed on the situation. He then evaluates both the dogs and owners through impromptu visits to the businesses and neighborhood locations where the dogs display their problem behavior.

Millan, David Leepson and Jordan Roberts serve as executive producers of the series. Nat Geo Wild’s Janet Han Vissering and Geoff Daniels exec produce for the cabler.

Millan got his start on TV with Nat Geo’s Dog Whisperer which had a nine-season run that ended in 2012. Reruns are still widely seen in the U.S. and abroad. Millan’s most recent Nat Geo Wild series, Leader of the Pack, bowed in January 2013.

There is talk of developing international editions of Cesar 911 for Asian and Latin American markets.
