MTV has yet to announce whether or not the Scream series will be renewed for a third season. The network’s mystery drama is based on the popular horror movie which showed several knife-wielding serial killers going around a small town gutting people behind a creepy dark costume and ghost-like mask.
It’s still not known whether or not the show will be cancelled but according to TV Series Finale, during the Scream after-show, Scream After Dark!, MTV revealed that there would be a Scream Halloween special episode of the mystery thriller.
The Scream series cast includes Willa Fitzgerald, Bex Taylor-Klaus, John Karna, Amadeus Serafini, and Carlson Young.

During episode 12 of the second season, it was revealed that Kieran Wilcox (Serafini) was the newest ghostface. The character was also Piper Shaw’s (Blaire) partner. Emma Duvall who is portrayed by Fitzgerald did not kill him but he was arrested by the police. Additionally, there was a strange phone call at the very end of the season finale.

The promo showed Kieran being put in his jail cell by two correctional officers and the two CO’s are poking fun at him saying that he looks more like a movie star than a serial killer. They proceed lock him in his prison cell, then he looks up and see ghostface looking down at him.
The season two finale episode, When a Stranger Calls, recently aired and so far it’s unknown how many viewers the episode garnered. However, the first eleven episodes of Scream’s second season averaged a 0.19 in the 18-49 year old viewer demographic, and drew an average total audience of 0.380 million viewers. Which equals 380,000. Compared to the first season, these numbers did not do as well. The first season of MTV’s Scream series averaged 0.34 in the demo and brought in an average total audience of 0.75 million viewers.
