MTV will premiere two new relationship series on Monday, April 21, The Ex and The Why and Time’s Up.
The Ex and The Why will test whether former couples should remain apart or get back together. It will explore the question, “What happens when you can’t get over your ex?” Each episode will feature two young adults hung up on their exes. Some will reinvent themselves and give their exes a shock when they are revealed to them while the others get an answer as to why their exes broke up with them.
In Time’s Up, the series will tackle what couples must endure when a life-altering event separated them by distance. It will give couples a chance to re-evaluate their relationship and whether they “expiration dating.” the couples face problems that separate them including attending different colleges, semesters abroad, job relocations, military deployments and more. Each episode will center on a couple as they cope with the pressure of their expiration date and will follow them up until the dread departure. They must choose to tough out long distance dating or go their separate ways.
