

Netflix’s anthology series Monster has come forward with an update regarding the casting for its next serial killer. Actress Sarah Paulson is in final talks to play serial killer, Aileen Wuornos.
The fourth season will take a focus on Lizzie Borden, an American woman who was acquitted in 1893 for the murders of her father and step mother in 1892. When it comes to the series there will be some dramatization when it comes to Lizzie Borden’s life. According to What’s on Netflix, the article mentions the casting for the season. The cast will consist of actors such as Ella Beatty (Feud: Capote vs. The Swans), Charlie Hunnam (Sons of Anarchy, Pacific Rim), Vickey Krieps (Phantom Thread, Corsage), Rebecca Hall (The Night House, The Prestige), Billie Lourd (American Horror Story, Star Wars sequel trilogy), and Jessica Barden (The End of the F***ing World).
The new cast member Sarah Paulson (American Horror Story, 12 Years a Slave), is said to play a serial killer named Aileen Wuornos. According to Variety, Sarah Paulson is in final talks to play the killer who will not be the central focus of the series but rather her character will be someone who was impacted by Lizzie Borden’s actions in the past.
According to Variery, Sarah Paulson’s character Aileen Wuornos, was convicted for the murder of seven men in Florida. After being arrested she was sentenced to execution in 2002. This woman would later be the center for many documentaries, films, and series. The article mentions, “She has been the subject of numerous documentaries and books since then, with Charlize Theron winning the Academy Award for best actress for playing Wuornos in the 2003 film “Monster.” Other actresses who have portrayed Wuornos onscreen include Peyton List, Jean Smart, and Lily Rabe. Rabe played Wuornos in the fifth season of “American Horror Story,” another Murphy production.”
Season four of Monster is set to be released in fall 2026.
