The monstrosity team of DC’s acclaimed animated series, Creature Commandos, are officially clawing their way back into the spotlight with an exciting update regarding second season. According to Screenrant, the update was revealed by the series showrunner, Dean Lorey (Harley Quinn, Arrested Development), who has uploaded a behind the scenes video post across various social medias and expressing his excitement on working in the sixth episode of the approaching second season.
As reported by Screenrant, the series finale ended with Nina—voiced by Zoe Chao (The Afterparty, The High Note)—failing in her mission and ultimately being killed by Princess Ilana, voiced by Maria Bakalova (Bodies Bodies Bodies, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3). Out for revenge, The Bride, voiced by Indira Varma (The Legend of Vox Machina, Invincible), went to confront Ilana, only to realize that she was the true threat and take her out. The Bride then took over as the leader of the group, setting the stage for season two.
Fans can aspect the voice acting group to return alongside, Indira, which will include Alan Tudyk (Resident Alien, The Rookie) as G.I. Robot and Dr. Phosphorus, David Harbour (Stranger Things, Thunderbolts) as Eric Frankenstein, Sean Gunn (The Suicide Squad, Avengers: Endgame) as The Weasel and Frank Grillo (Peacemaker, What If…?) as Rick Flag Sr.
Stated by Screenrant, the new foe or threat that the team will be tasked to eliminate remains mystery, but one thing is for certain is that a new season is sure to deliver a thrilling story filled with explosive scenes and surprising twists the series so recognizable.
