Hulu’s award-winning comedy series Ramy, slated for a highly-anticipated third season, adds a prominent celebrity to its cast. Bella Hadid (International Vogue) – voted Model-of-the-Year in 2016 by industry professionals for Models.com – is an American model known for her dozens of cover appearances in Vogue magazine and her massive success in the fashion industry at a young age. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Hadid had been looking to enter the acting industry for some time.
Ramy is a show written by, executive produced and starring Ramy Youssef (and based loosely on his own life) that explores the intersections of religious moralism and millennial agnosticism and the contradictions within each. Emmy-nominated and with Youssef earning a golden globe, the critically-acclaimed A24 series was renewed for a third season almost immediately after the second season debut.
With the entire cast returning for the third season for their established character roles in the show, it is uncertain what type of role Bella Hadid would be cast for. It has not been announced whether she would be playing herself or as a new character for the upcoming season.
