Miranda Cosgrove Says She’d Be Down for an iCarly Reunion

Cue the random dancing! According to the Huffington Post, iCarly star Miranda Cosgrove said she’d be down for a reunion of the hit Nickelodeon show.

While she was promoting her new show, Crowded, a new NBC comedy that airs Sunday nights, a fan asked her if she’d consider doing an iCarly reunion, to which she responded that she’d “totally do a reunion.”

Cosgrove also said that she has a reunion almost every day with iCarly co-star Jennette McCurdy (who played Sam Puckett) because they hang out together all the time.

She said she wanted to know more about Carly’s mother, who was absent the whole series, and said she still wonders about that.

Some of the cast reunited at the end of 2015, when castmember Nathan Kress (Freddie Benson) got married and Cosgrove took to Twitter to document the moment, posting a photo of her, McCurdy and Jerry Trainor (who played Carly’s brother, Spencer) on the way to the wedding.

iCarly aired on Nickelodeon from September 2007 through November 2012 and stared Cosgrove as Carly Shay, a teenager who hosts a web show called iCarly. The show was hosted with her best friend, Sam, and was filmed by Freddie, who had a big crush on Carly for most of the early seasons of the show.

The final episode of the show was a two-part special that featured Carly hoping her father would return to Seattle (where the show took place) so they could go to the Father-Daughter Air Force Dance together since he’s a member of the Air Force. However, he is unable to come back. He ends up surprising her and takes her to the dance and says he’s moving to Italy to be on the base there and asks Carly if she wants to go with him. She ends up accepting and she films one last episode of iCarly and leaves to go to Italy.

When the show ended, McCurdy starred on Sam & Cat, a spinoff of both iCarly and Victorious, which starred Ariana Grande as her role from Victorious. The show aired for one season and was put on hiatus when rumors started to swirl about on-set tensions between McCurdy and Grande and the show was eventually canceled.

Cosgrove currently stars as Shea Moore on the NBC comedy, Crowded, which is about two young adults who move back in with their parents, who are played by Carrie Preston and Patrick Warburton, at the same time as their grandparents move in as well.
