According to Bellamy Young, who plays Mellie Grant, season 5 is picking up where they left off in season four, saying, “That season finale pulled the rug out from under everyone, so I think everybody was pretty happy that we were starting back immediately after and getting to go into those moments. It was a relief” (TV Line).
