According to a press release by Warner Bros. Discovery, Max is introducing a refreshed navigation menu for connected TV devices worldwide, starting today, to enhance user experience and make content browsing more intuitive. For adult profiles in the U.S., this update brings a notable change by moving key sections—such as Home, Series, Movies, HBO, B/R Sports and CNN Max—from the top navigation bar to a newly optimized left-side menu. This redesigned sidebar, which already includes essential features like Search, My Stuff, Settings and Profiles, aims to make navigation more seamless and accessible. While maintaining a consistent overall design, the interface has been adjusted in different regions to cater to local user preferences. Following successful trials in Latin America, the rollout will occur in phases, initially reaching a limited number of users before expanding more broadly.
By shifting the menu to the side, Max not only improves accessibility but also creates additional space at the top of the homepage for larger, more engaging content previews. This adjustment enhances both the functionality and visual appeal of the platform, making it easier for users to discover and enjoy featured programming. With a more streamlined interface, improved navigation tools and a stronger emphasis on user convenience, Max continues to refine its platform to deliver a more personalized and engaging streaming experience.
In addition to the redesigned menu, Max is launching two new features to help users discover content more easily. “What’s New” is a dedicated page showcasing recent additions, upcoming releases and soon-to-be-removed titles, ensuring viewers stay up to date with the latest programming. Meanwhile, “Categories” provides a structured way to browse content by genre, brand, or curated thematic collections, simplifying the process of finding something to watch based on personal interests.
