Max Greenfield is the latest actor to join American Horror Story: Hotel.
Creator Ryan Murphy announced it on Twitter with the following post, “This October, Max Greenfield (like you’ve never seen him) is checking in to the hotel….but not checking out. #AHSHotel.”
Greenfield, or Schmidt from New Girl, joins the growing cast for the fifth season of the anthology series that will premiere on FX in the fall. Other cast members that have previously been announced include; Lady Gaga, Matt Bomer, Wes Bentley, Cheyenne Jackson, Kathy Bates, Sarah Paulson, Chloe Sevigny, Evan Peters and Angela Bassett.
Other than the casting announcements not much about the fifth installment is known. FX president John Landgraf suggested that the series would be ‘radically reinvented” for the fifth season, as reported by Vanity Fair. Murphy’s tweets reveal that Bates’ character will be running the hotel, Paulson will play “the baddest bad girl of them all,” and Lady Gaga and Bassett will be making trouble in the ballroom and elsewhere.
Production for American Horror Story: Hotel begins this summer and will debut on FX in October.
