Max has officially released updates on their popular show Gremlins: The Wild Batch. The news was shared today in an exclusive Comicbook article with a first-look clip.
The second half of the series is currently in the works. The teaser shared with Comicbook opened on the main cast trapped in a castle. Of course, the task won’t be easy as they discuss the presence of a mysterious ghost, Lady Lillian Clamp, lingering around the castle. The team must find a way out before the ghost of Lady Lillian Clamp gets to them first. Check out the teaser here for an exclusive look!
Comicbook also shared the logline for the episode set to premiere in season two: “Our heroes journey west to free Elle’s mother from servitude to the Water God Kung-Kung, but find themselves stranded in the deadly tourist trap known as CLAMP CASTLE.”
The famous characters first became popular with the hit film Gremlins, which premiered in 1984. The film follows cute and tiny animals who seem like the perfect pet. However, feed them after midnight, and they become deadly. Losing their fur and turning into goblins, their only goal is to wreak havoc. Since the film, Gremlins has always been on the radar and grown in popularity. The franchise expanded with a sequel, Gremlins 2: A New Batch, and an animated TV series, Gremlins: The Secrets Of Mogwai.
The series has quite the popular cast. Some stars we’ll see on the small screen are Issac Wong (Win Or Lose, Stillwater) starring as Sam Wing, Zach Galligan (Gremlins, Gremlins 2: The New Batch) starring as Billy Peltzer, Gabrillee Nevah Green (That Girl Lay Lay, Curses!) starring as Elle, Ming-Na Wen (The Book of Boba Fett, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) starring as Fong Wong, and James Hong (Everything Everywhere All At Once, Kung Fu Panda) starring as Grandpa Wing.
Catch the premiere of Gremlins: The Wild Batch streaming on Max this Thursday, April 10th.
