Max Debuts Original Series ‘Duster’ From Producers J.J. Abrams and LaToya Morgan

Max released teaser for their new series Duster. This eight-episode series will feature a man devoted to crime. Only to find out he’s been followed by the FBI. A man once devoted to his work now turns into working against all his allies. Max shared the logline with fans in a press release.  “Set in the 1970s Southwest, DUSTER explores the life of a gutsy getaway driver for a growing crime syndicate that goes from dangerous to wildly, stupidly dangerous when a tenacious young agent comes into town hellbent on taking his crime family down.” 

The series is set to premiere on Thursday, May 15th.  A new episode will come out every week and will run till July 3rd. The series gained some traction after a jaw-dropping teaser. The clip featured character unveilings, high-speed chases, and exciting plot twists. Fans get excited over the style of the show as it’s set in the 70’s. In the teaser, Josh Holloway (Yellowstone) stars as the main character and delivers the line “If I stick around, it’s gonna make my life complicated, dangerous, in ways you can’t possibly understand”. Rachel Hilson (Love, Victor) then follows up with “Right on” as the teaser then launches into a car crash.  To catch all the action check out the teaser below. 

The series has quite the lineup when it comes to cast and crew. Some more actors we’ll see staring in the series are Keith David (The Princess and the Frog),  Sydney Elisabeth (The Last O.G.), Greg Grunberg (The End Of The World), and Camille Guaty (Prison Break). J.J. Abrams and LaToya Morgan teamed up to write the first two episodes. The pair will also executive produce for the series. Rachel Rusch Rich and Steph Green will also be executive producing. Fans are raving about Abrams and Morgan’s credits as both producers have had quite the successful career. Tune into Max on May 15th to watch Duster.
