It’s time to return to the chaos of Gotham City. According to Comicbook, Max recently confirmed the premiere date of the new season of Harley Quinn. Season four of the animated show is set to premiere on July 27, and yet very little has been said about this new season.
According to Comicbook, the last material from the show to be released was the Valentine’s Day Special, the special episode will serve to bridge the gap between season three and season four. The July premiere of season four would be coming roughly a year after the release of season three.
Last year, Max officially renewed the show for a fourth season ahead of the season three finale. Sarah Peters (Master of None, Nathan For You) has been a writer for the show since season one and served as a consulting producer. Peters now serves as an executive producer and showrunner for Harley Quinn for season four.

The Harley Quinn series follows Harley after she breaks up with the Joker and tries to become a villain of Gotham. In her journey to become a villain, she rekindles her friendship with Poison Ivy and becomes friends with King Shark, Clayface, Frank, and Dr. Psycho. The series follows them and their encounters with other famous DC characters, including the Injustice League and the Justice League. It isn’t until season two that the audience can start to notice that Harley has feelings for Ivy, even though Ivy is engaged and planning her wedding to Kite Man. It isn’t until the end of the second season that Harley and Ivy share their mutual feelings for each other and share a kiss. The third season follows the new couple and how they handle being together while also working on their plans for terraforming Gotham.
Season four of Harley Quinn is set to premiere on July 27 on Max. Harley Quinn: A Very Problematic Valentine’s Day Special is available to stream through Max. In the meantime, the three seasons of Harley Quinn are available to watch on Max.
