According to Variety, Matthew McConaughey (The Rivals of Amziah King, Interstellar) and Woody Harrelson‘s (Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri) Apple TV+ comedy series has paused production of its 10-episode season. Brothers has taken a break from production due to David West Read (The Big Door Prize, Schitt’s Creek), who served as the series’ writer, showrunner, and executive producer, having departed because of creative differences. This comes after the series has finished production on eight out of the 10 episodes. Currently, the series is talking to Lee Eisenberg (Little America, Hello Ladies: The Movie) to take over as showrunner for the final episodes and any reshoots that are needed.
As per to Variety, the series was announced in 2023 and is based on the friendship between the two stars. The official log line for the series reads as follows: “Matthew and Woody’s friendship is tested when their combined families attempt to live together on Matthew’s ranch in Texas.”
