Disney+’s Moon Knight from Marvel Studios revealed brand new footage in a TV spot during Sunday’s Super Bowl. The Oscar Isaac-led series premieres on the streaming service on March 30th. The 30-second clip can be viewed below.
The new trailer sees Isaac’s (Dune, The Card Counter) caped vigilante in action, leaping bounds against several foes. We also see more of his character, Steven Grant’s, mental state unravel as he embraces the chaos. This sentiment again is echoed by Ethan Hawke’s (Gattaca, Reality Bites) mysterious Arthur Harrow, who may have ulterior motives for Grant to accept this new nefarious power.
Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige (Black Panther, Captain America: Civil War) recently discussed the series’ more brutal tone in an interview with Empire. Marvel’s previous four live-action series have strayed from any mature levels of violence, sticking to the family-friendly fare displayed in their films. But with Moon Knight, Feige emphasized how “We’re not pulling back. There’s a tonal shift. This is a different thing. This is Moon Knight.”
According to the Disney press release, the series has Feige and Isaac as executive producers. Joining them are Victoria Alonso (Spider-Man: Far From Home, Item 47), Grant Curtis (The Gift, Drag Me to Hell), Mohamed Diab (Amira, Clash), Louis D’Esposito (Marvel One-Shot: Agent Carter, Marvel One-Shot: All Hail the King), Brad Winderbaum (Black Widow, Hawkeye), and head writer, Jeremy Slater (The Exorcist, Pet). Co-executive producers include Trevor Waterson (Jurassic World, Chaos Walking) and Rebecca Kirsch (Chambers, 12 Monkeys).
