According to Deadline Marvel’s Daredevil: Born Again on Disney+ has tapped Lili Taylor (Outer Range, Manhunt) for a recurring role in Season two. Taylor’s character is set to serve as a political adversary to Vincent D’Onofrio’s Wilson Fisk. The show, currently filming in New York, also adds Matthew Lillard to its expanding cast.
Born Again, a continuation of the Daredevil series that aired on Netflix from 2015 to 2018, follows blind lawyer Matt Murdock who is played by Charlie Cox (Boardwalk Empire, Kin) as he fights for justice while navigating his law firm. Meanwhile, former mob boss Vincent D’Onofrio(Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Godfather of Harlem) who plays Wilson Fisk pursues his political ambitions, setting up an inevitable clash as their pasts resurface.
Taylor’s casting adds to an already star-studded lineup for Season two, which includes Cox, D’Onofrio, Deborah Ann Woll (True Blood, Quantum Leap), and Jon Bernthal (The Walking Dead, The Punisher), who are reprising their roles. Taylor joins other new additions like Lillard and Margarita Levieva in the upcoming season.
Filming for Season two of Born Again is underway says Deadline , and showrunner Dario Scardapane (Jack Ryan, Trauma), who helmed Season one, returns to executive produce alongside Marvel’s Kevin Feige (Ironheart, Marvel Zombies ) and others. The series remains a key part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), continuing to expand its roster with fresh faces.
Taylor, a three-time Emmy nominee, recently starred in Outer Range alongside Josh Brolin and appeared in the Apple TV+ series Manhunt. Taylor’s book, Turning to Birds, is set for release on April 29. She is represented by Independent Artist Group and Untitled Entertainment.
As Daredevil: Born Again continues to evolve, Taylor’s addition to the cast signals a deeper political storyline, possibly shaping the series’ future. Fans can expect the high stakes and character-driven drama that has become a hallmark of the MCU’s darker side.
