Marvel Divulges Details Surrounding The Plot Of The Upcoming ‘Eyes of Wakanda’

According to Comicbook, this series will delve deeper into Wakanda’s rich and complex world, expanding upon the legacy established in the Black Panther films. It will be executively produced by renowned filmmaker Ryan Coogler (Sinners).

The official synopsis of the series states, “In this globe-trotting adventure, the heroes must carry out dangerous missions to retrieve vibranium artifacts from the enemies of Wakanda. They are the Hatut Zeraze, and this is their story.”

Brad Winderbaum (Werewolf by Night),Marvel Studios’ Head of Streaming, Television and Animation, previously stated in an interview with Comicbook, “Eyes of Wakanda is an MCU show, this is the history of Wakanda as told through the War Dogs, and it is some of the best animation we’ve ever done. Todd Harris is the creator of that one. That’s just such a cool show.” Todd Harris (Bullet Train) is renowned for his captivating storyboards, which included Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and What If…?.”

According to Comicbook, Harris pitched the idea to Kevin Feige (Deadpool & Wolverine) and Coogler back in 2018 during the making of Infinity War. At this year’s D23, Coogler said about Harris, “Todd is one of the most incredible story artists in the world,” He continued. “[He did] a lot of the action sequences in some of your guys’ favorite films, and a bunch of them in mine, so I was always blown away by his idea and the story. And I knew that with him at the helm, as a director, as a showrunner, it could be just fantastic. It’s proved to be just that.”

The voices that will be part of the series, according to Comicbook, will consist of Winnie Harlow (Grown-ish), Cress Williams (Black Lightning), Patricia Belcher (The Villains of Valley View), Larry Herron (Marvel’s Spider-Man 2), Adam Gold (Hogwarts Legacy), Lynn Whitfield (The Chi), Jacques Colimon (Fright Krewe), Jona Xiao (The Flash), Isaac Robinson-Smith (X-Men ’97), Gary Anthony Williams (Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur), Zeke Alton (Batman: Arkham Shadow), Steve Toussaint (House of the Dragon) and Anika Noni Rose (The Princess and the Frog).
