Vision Quest, a spinoff Marvel television show to WandaVision set for Disney+, is rumored to be canceled. White Vision, created by S.W.O.R.D, was sent into the town of Westview after Wanda Maximoff took it hostage. Vision and White Vision battle for some time before both Visions combine their knowledge and experiences and White Vision flies away. White Vision’s story following his departure from Westview was set to be the origin of the new series. Via Screenrant, “Following his bombastic debut in WandaVision, there have been many questions swirling around White Vision, the nature of his identity, and just how heavily he will be involved in the MCU going forward.”
An update account for the Scarlet Witch also known as Wanda Maximoff, posted on X (formerly known as Twitter), screenshots from Vision Quest creator, Jac Schaeffer’s WGA profile. In those screenshots, Schaeffer (Black Widow), and other writers seemingly have removed Vision Quest from their profiles. Schaeffer’s profile also shows the updated title of the other WandaVision spinoff, Agatha: Darkhold Diaries, previously titled Agatha: Coven of Chaos.
According to Screenrant, “the good news is that White Vision is very unlikely to fade in obscurity, even if his solo series has been canceled.” Some fans believe White Vision could play a part in an upcoming Marvel film titled Armor Wars, considering how intimately connected his background narrative is to Tony Stark. The Armor Wars storyline will follow what happens when Tony Stark’s technology falls into the wrong hands. The film will be through the lens of James Rhodes, also known as War Machine, played by Don Cheadle (Hotel Rwanda). Robert Downey Jr (Sherlock Holmes), who plays Tony Stark, also known as Iron Man, will not be featured in the movie. Screenrant states that it looks less likely White Vision will be featured in Armor Wars if it is confirmed Vision Quest is canceled. Via Screenrant,”… as the time that would have spent fleshing out White Vision’s character, including whether his identity is the same as the original Vision, would only bog down the central plot of the movie – which was itself originally conceived as a series.”
