Martha Stewart will join the Food Network’s Chopped family as a recurring guest judge on the show. Her first appearance in an episode will air June 5th.
Next month celebrates the 38th season of Chopped. The show will have it’s normal host Ted Allen and the series regulars Maneet Chauhan, Scott Contant, Amanda Freitag, Alex Gaurnaschelli, Mac Murphy, Marcus Samuelsson, Chris Santos and Geoffrey Zakarian. These judges will oversee the action as the chefs battle it out in the kitchen.
Each episode will have three rounds; appetizer, entree and desert. The chefs will have to cultivate dishes using the ingredients in the mystery basket with a limited amount of time for a chance to win $10,000.
“As a lifestyle expert and bestselling author with millions of devoted followers and fans, Martha Stewart’s name is synonymous with perfection,” said Courtney White, EVP Programming at Food Network and HGTV. “Having Martha’s expertise within the newest season of Chopped further reinforces why the series has long been one of the toughest competitions on television.”
Martha has had an amazing career with not only 90 published books, but also the former host of both Martha Stewart Living and The Martha Stewart Show. She is currently Chief Creative Officer and at Sequential, the company she merged hers with in 2015.
