According to The Hollywood Reporter, Mark Eydelshteyn (Nado snimat filmy o lyubvi, Strana Sasha) star of the film Anora joined the Prime Video spy series Mr. & Mrs. Smith. The series that started off with Donald Glover (Atlanta, Community) and Maya Erskine (Blue Eye Samurai, Man Seeking Woman) as the main characters in the first season but will not reprise their roles in the second installment. Eydelshteyn will be taking on the role of Mr. Smith for the second season of the series. The full details on the role have yet to be announced by Prime Video.

Mr. & Mrs. Smith follows two strangers who land jobs with a spy agency that offers them a life of espionage, wealth, and travel. The job came with a catch as they both had to form new identities in an arranged marriage as Mr. & Mrs. John and Jane Smith. The series loosely based on the 2005 feature film of the same title earned 16 Emmy nominations, including best drama series and lead acting nods for Glover and Erskine. The series won awards for Best Guest Actress in a Drama and Best Stunt Coordination for Drama Programming. New Regency and Amazon MGM Studios produce the series.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Glover will remain the executive producer on the series along with showrunner Francesca Sloane (The First, Fargo). Sloane told The Hollywood Reporter where the show would be heading next. She said, “I have been skipping to work. We laugh all day. We are having so much fun coming up with where these characters are going. I hope that it’s contagious and I hope it translates because I haven’t had this much fun making anything maybe ever.”
