According to The Hollywood Reporter, fans are saddened to hear about the death of jewelry designer guru and star of Bling Empire Lynn Ban at the age of 51. The star recently spoke about a fall she had while skiing in Aspen on Christmas Eve. She said she “…caught a tip and faced planted.” via an Instagram post on December 30, 2025. She managed to ski down the hill, was checked for a concussion by the ski patrol, and was cleared. She complained about having a mild headache, and the doctor recommended that she go to the hospital to get a cat scan. She later found out that she had bleeding on the brain and had to be airlifted to the trauma hospital to receive surgery. Ban went on to say that she is “… grateful for the ski patrol, the incredible team of doctors and nurses and the ❤ and support my family and friends.
Ban is the CEO of Lynn Ban Jewelry. According to The Hollywood Reporter, her work has been worn by celebrities such as Rhianna and Beyoncé. She was a part of the cast of the popular Netflix show Bling Empire and the spin-off Bling Empire: New York, which explores the lives of “… a group of rich Asian Americans in the city living their luxurious lifestyles.
Ban’s son Sebastian also took to her Instagram today to announce the passing of his mother. “I would like to take the chance to share who my mum really was,” says Sebastian, as he goes on to explain how much of an impact she had on him, describing how she “…always had a smile on her face even when times were rough during her recovery process,” he adds. Rihanna added a comment under the post saying, “Thank you for all the joy you brought to us.
