Deadline has announced that Netflix has officially released the trailer for Lupin season three! The junior season of the French crime thriller is expected to leave audiences dumbfounded with Omar Sy (Father & Soldier, Two is a Family), playing Assane.
Assane has been in hiding, coping with behind thousands of miles apart from both his son and his wife. Assane’s wife and son have been suffering without him, and Assane cannot bear to see them like this for any longer, so he comes up with a truly crazy plan. He returns to Paris and proposes that they drop everything, leave France and start a whole new life anywhere but there.
As to be expected in the series, things do not go as planned; Deadline says that “the ghosts of the past are never far away, and an unexpected return will turn his plans upside down.”
The trailer exemplifies a healthy dose of comedy mixed with some action. It’s no shock that Lupin has been topping Netflix’s international charts, residing in the top tens.
The French series is an adaptation of the original novels authored by Maurice LeBlanc, the character of Assane was created back in 1905 and lives to see 2024. The books have been adapted many times over the years into various television shows and movies.
