Viewers will get to follow Victor and students at Creekwood High for another season. The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that the streamer has renewed the Love, Simon spin-off for a third season.
The renewal comes after the series’ second season was met with high critical acclaim upon its June release. Love, Victor season two received a 100 percent score amongst critics and a 92 percent audience score on RottenTomatoes. However, it is unknown how viewership performed as Hulu does not reveal those numbers. An episode count or a release was not announced for the series.
Love, Victor follows Victor, a high schooler who balances the process of coming out with being a star athlete. The series is a spin-off of the hit 2018 film, Love, Simon, starring Nick Robinson (Jurassic World). The second season ended on a cliffhanger where Victor chose between his two love interests, Benji and Felix, but it was not yet revealed to the audience.
The series stars Michael Cimino (Annabelle Comes Home) as the titular character. Also on the cast are Rachel Hilson (This Is Us), Anthony Turpel (Henry Danger), Bebe Wood (The New Normal), Mason Gooding (Booksmart), George Sear (The Evermoor Chronicles), Isabella Ferreira (Orange Is the New Black), newcomer Mateo Fernandez, James Martinez (One Day at a Time), and Ana Ortiz (Devious Maids).
Love, Victor was created by This Is Us showrunners Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger, who wrote the original film. The duo will also be helming the final season of This Is Us as well as showrunning the How I Met Your Mother spin-off, How I Met Yout Father, starring Hillary Duff (Lizzie McGuirre).
Neither an episode count or a release have been announced for the third season. Love, Victor can be streamed exclusively on Hulu.
