Premiering for its third and final season, Netflix released the first trailer for season three of Lost In Space. The show, which premiered on Netflix in 2018, focuses on the Robinson family as they venture out into space to search for a new home with other colonies of humans. Along the way they meet a sentient alien robot that helps them on their adventures that they creatively name…Robot. This show is actually a remake of the show of the same name that premiered in 1965 and also ended after only three seasons.
The trailer shows fans the main conflict right off the bat, the Robinson children trying to find their parents after being separated from them at the end of season two. However, it also shows that Robot’s mechanical alien race is also hunting the parents, played by Molly Parker (Deadwood, 1922) and Toby Stephens (Black Sails, Die Another Day).
This army of robots hunting the parents is also in pursuit of the youngest Robinson, Will Robinson played by Maxwell Jenkins (Joe Bell, A Family Man), so fans can hope for a family reunion later in the season. In fact, the Netflix synopsis lists their attempts to find each other as a major plot point of the season, but fans can also expect a lot of action as the trailer and the synopsis show a lot of the daring and exciting action in store for this season.
Fans may also expect a few twists and surprises this season. With this being the show’s last hurrah, there is no telling what the show runners may throw at audiences with no commitment to follow up with a fourth season.
Lost In Space season three will premiere on Netflix on Dec. 1st. Streamers interested in the show can stream all episodes from the first two seasons already on their platform.
