‘Losing Alice’ International Thriller Series Picked Up By Apple

Losing Alice will be added to Apple TV+, adding to the streaming service’s international selection. Apple signed a co-production deal with Israel’s Dori Media and cable company HOT for the series written by Sigal Avin (The Ex-List).

The eight part Neo-noir Israeli series is based on a Faust legend with Ayelet Zurer (Man of Steel, Daredevil) as Alice, a director obsessing over a new young screen writer Sophie, played by Lihi Kornowski (The Burglar). The series also stars Shai Avivi (One Week a Day) as Ami, Celli Goldenberg (Out in the Dark) as Tami, Yossi Markshek (Yellow Peppers) as Amit, and Gal Toren (Up the Wrong Tree) as David. The show explores female relationships and their complex levels and meanings.

Losing Alice is the one of the many Apple TV+ of international series to add to their originals recently, with drama series Tehran also being picked up recently; along with Masters of the Air, Shantaram, Pachinko and Suspicion. Apple TV+ will serve as co-producer on the series from Cineflix Rights and Israeli network Kan 11, including Apple will serve as the exclusive streaming home to the series in all territories, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The first part of Losing Alice is currently airing on HOT in Israel and will air on Apple TV+ worldwide later this year. Watch the trailer, below:
