Lori Loughlin Makes Special Appearance On ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’ To Parody College Admissions Scandal

Lori Loughlin (Full House, Seinfeld) made a surprise cameo as herself on last night’s episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm. According to TVLine, the episode featured Larry David (Seinfeld, The Three Stooges) as he agreed to sponsor Loughlin at his golf club. She parodied herself and her part in the infamous Varsity Blues college admissions scandal

Back in March 2019, Loughlin was caught in the scandal alongside Mossimo Giannulli, her fashion designer husband. They were both accused of paying $500,000 in bribes in order to get their two daughters admitted to the University of Southern California. However, it was discovered that the bribes were masked as “donations,” supported by a college admissions counselor named William “Rick” Singer. Loughlin served two months in prison, was mandated to do 100 hours of community service and had to pay a $150,000 fine.

The episode, entitled “The Gettysburg Address,” starts with Ted Danson (Cheers, The Good Place) asking Larry for a favor to get Lori’s character into the club. TVLine notes that Larry is on board with the idea, proclaiming that he is a “champion of the underdog.” Larry swiftly second-guesses the decision when Lori does not follow the “cart path only” rule on her first day at the club, saying she has a doctor’s note for Epstein-Barr.

After her golf round, she is seen flaunting an unauthorized handicap sticker on her car and even criticizing Larry’s short game. As the episode proceeds, Larry discovers that Lori bribed the starter to get an in-demand tee time. Larry then rethinks her scorekeeping near the end of the game, further challenging her integrity. As per TVLine, when Larry asks about her ball that was evidently lost in the woods, the Full House actress answers, “I had a good lie.” Larry said in return, “Yeah, you had a good lie, alright.”
