Lori Loughlin And Husband Pleading Guilty To College Admissions Scandal

Full House star Lori Loughlin and husband, fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli, have decided to plead guilty to charges that connect them to the college admissions scandal, according to CNN. They had pleaded not guilty for more than a year as early as just two weeks ago.

The parents were prosecuted for allegedly paying $500,000 for their daughters to attend the University of Southern California as fake crew, or rowing, team members. Loughlin has plead guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud while her husband has plead guilty to the same charges in addition to one count of honest services and mail fraud.

The plea agreement entails that Loughlin will be sentenced to two months in prison and Giannulli to be sentenced to five months. Moreover, Loughlin will be met with a $150,000 fine along with 100 hours of community service and two years of supervised release. Meanwhile, Giannulli will be met with a $250,000 fine, two years of supervised release following prison-time, and 250 hours of community service.

Loughlin and Giannulli, along with more than 24 other parents including Felicity Huffman (Desperate Housewives), have pleaded guilty to the conspiracy charge since last year. If the couple had gone to trial and lost, they could have realistically faced up to 20 years in prison, via CNN.

Loughlin and Giannulli are anticipating pleading guilty on Friday, May 22nd. Meanwhile, their daughters no longer attend USC.
