According to ScreenRant, the official release date of the second season of Paramount+’s spy thriller Lioness has been revealed. The series was created by Taylor Sheridan (Hell or High Water, Tulsa King), known for the Yellowstone Universe. The second season is now confirmed to premiere this fall on Sunday, October 27, with two episodes and then air weekly.
When the first season of Lioness, originally titled SPECIAL OPS: LIONESS, aired, it was very successful, and now the second season is fully confirmed with a premiere date Filing for the second season started earlier this year.
The series stars Zoe Saldaña (Guardians of the Galaxy, Avatar) as Joe, who is a CIA operative who runs a specialized team that puts female agents deep behind enemy lines. The team is set up to help bring down a terrorist organization from within.

As per ScreenRant, the synopsis for the second season is as follows: “In Season 2, as the CIA’s fight against terror moves closer to home, Joe (Saldaña), Kaitlyn (Kidman), and Byron (Michael Kelly) enlist a new Lioness operative to infiltrate a previously unknown threat. With pressure mounting from all sides, Joe is forced to confront the profound personal sacrifices she has made as the leader of the Lioness program.”
