Jessica Biel had taken over TV series The Sinner, where she played as a psychologically disturbed woman named Cora Tannetti. Tannetti had murdered a man on the beach in front of other beachgoers and her family. As the show delves into why Tannetti was drawn to killing someone, a lot is unraveled from her past. Not only is Biel the star, but she also sits in as the executive producer. Critics rave about Biel’s performance so much so that it caught the eyes of the Golden Globes and Emmys who gave Biel her first nomination.
Biel is now set to star in Limetown, which does not steer too far from the mystery thriller genre she is accustomed to. She will play in the role of Lia Haddock, a journalist for American Public Radio. This time, Biel will be the one solving a mystery instead of having to be on the other side of it all as in The Sinner. With more than 300 people missing from a neuroscience research facility and no one knows what happened to them, the case caught Lia Haddock’s attention to figure out the strange disappearances.
The series is based on a popular podcast of the same name which was first released in 2015 by Zack Akers and Skip Bronkie from Endeavor Content. The two will be executive producers and writers for the TV series. The podcast had become a hit when it was downloaded more than 10 million times.
Zack Akers took to his Twitter account to tweet his appreciation of the journey he took to get here.
I know fans have been wondering what was going on since December of 2015. It’s been frustrating. All I can say is a lot. And today is the day we can finally talk about all of it. It’s been a long journey, but we’re ready. We want to make the best show possible. We will.

Biel will once again also serve as executive producer along with her Iron Ocean Productions and Michelle Purple. A list of other executive producers has been released: Josh Appelbaum, Andre Nemec, Jeff Pinkner and Scott Rosenberg. Adrienne Erickson will be the producer.
The series will be released on Facebook Watch with 10 episodes. There is no premiere date as of yet.
