According to The Hollywood Reporter, Hulu’s spinoff of the original comedy series Letterkenny, named Shoresy, has been renewed for a fifth season. This news comes before the series airs the sixth episode of its fourth season, which will be available on the streamer on February 26.
The production for the fifth season comes from Canadian indie producer New Metric Media from creator Jared Keeso (I Love You, Beth Cooper) and will start this spring.
Shorsey is a Canadian television comedy spinoff of the popular series Letterkenny, which focuses on one character from the original series. The series sees the character of Shoresy move out of Letterkenny to help a struggling hockey team named the Sudbury Bulldogs.
The cast of Shoresy includes Keeso as Shoresy, Tasya Teles (Prison Break) as Nat, Blair Lamora (Paranormal Nightshift) as Ziigwan, Ryan McDonell (What We Do in the Shadows) as Micheals, Harlan Blayne Kytwayhat (Warrior Strong) as Sanguinet, Keilani Elizabeth Rose (The Sinners) as Miigwan, Brandon Nolan (Legends & Lies) as Jim #2, Jordan Nolan (The Good Stuff with Mary Berg) as Jim #3, Jacob Smith (The Produce Stand: Interviews) as Fish, Terry Ryan (A Tippling Adventure) as Ted Hitchcock, Max Bouffard (Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City) as JJ Frankie JJ, Keegan Long (Dark Side of the ’90s) as Liam and many more.
As per The Hollywood Reporter, the series’ fourth season will see Shoresy as he explores life after hockey and the Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs.*Spoiler ahead* The third season concluded with Shoresy deciding to end his competitive hockey career after enduring a string of injuries.
Keeso writes the screenplay for the series and executive produces the series along with Mark Montefiore (The Soup or the Window) and Kara Haflidson (Children Ruin Everything). Dan (Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City) and Sean Skene (Bad Romance: The Vicky White Story) will return to direct the fifth season.
