Leana Headey (Game of Thrones) is slated to star in and executive produce the AMC Networks series entitled Beacon 23, which hails from Zak Penn (Pilot), according to Variety. Described as a sci-fi thriller, the series will center around two people, Halan, and Aster (Headey), who find themselves trapped together at the end of the known universe.

No one but Lena. We couldnt be more excited to go on this thrill ride with Lena and Zak leading the way.”
Beacon 23 is based on the 2015 book by Hugh Howey, which carries the same name as its upcoming series adaptation. Penn has also spoken of the first announcement of any cast for Beacon 23, stating that “Lena Headey was a wonderful, versatile actress before she gave one of the defining performances in television history. So, as they say, ‘no pressure.’ I’m thankful to all the people making this show possible, they just keep delivering beyond my expectations,” via Variety.
