Like Cinema Blend, a variety of media outlets have reported the unlikelihood of seeing more Gilmore Girls, despite many fans’ dissatisfaction after the conclusion of the Netflix-aired revival of Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life last November. Lorelai and Rory came back with most of their usual antics, and some new ones as well to leave some with closure, and others with a desire for more.
However, as time goes on a Gilmore Girls continuation, possibly involving Rory’s parenting struggles, seems less and less likely as the two stars commit to other projects.
According to Variety, Lauren Graham’s charm and wit will be gracing a new pilot from Fox: Linda from HR. Linda is a comedy about HR employee Linda Plugh whose unfulfilled, dull, daily life threatens to be disrupted by a big mysterious secret and a single bad decision. She will likely be everyone’s new favorite chatty and sarcastic coworker. Graham’s casting makes the contingent pilot order from Fox last month official. The half-hour pilot was written by Itai Grunfeld and Geoff Barbanell who will also serve as executive producers beside Tracy Katsky, Aaron Kaplan and Dana Honor, with Scrubs director Marc Buckland along for the ride.
Lauren Graham will also be appearing on the next season of HBO’s comedy series Curb Your Enthusiasm according to Deadline Hollywood.

Curb Your Enthusiasm and Linda from HR does not necessarily rule out the possibility of another Gilmore Girls adventure. Variety reports that if Linda goes to series and Netflix starts up Gilmore Girls again, there would be enough of Lauren Graham to go around should she desire to commit to both. However with Lauren Graham as Linda and Alexis Bledel as Ofglen in Hulu’s upcoming original series The Handmaid’s Tale, it looks as if the duo are taking their acting careers elsewhere. Don’t give up hope completely on Gilmore Girls though: Variety also states that The Handmaid’s Tale, which is currently in production, would not stop Bledel from returning to Stars Hollow as well (though hopefully it won’t take another decade.)
