Simon Williams becomes Wonder Man after taking control of his father’s industrial arms and ammunition company and gains iron-based abilities including flight, agility, and super strength due to the series’ villain Baron Zemo, a longtime rival of Captain America and the Avengers. Wonder Man eventually joins the Avengers after losing to them. The character first debuted in 1964 in The Avengers #9 comic.
The Disney+ series will explore Wonder Man’s origin as well as his path to becoming a hero. There is currently no set release date but it is said to release between 2023 and 2024.
