In an exclusive press release from Warner Brothers HBO’s Last Week Tonight with John Oliver will return for its 12th season on Sunday, February 16, at 11:00 p.m. ET/PT. The Emmy®-winning series will air on HBO and stream on Max, continuing its sharp take on global and U.S. current events.
The show, which launched in 2014, blends satire and in-depth analysis of political, social, and cultural issues, along with underreported topics. “We’re thrilled to be back, continuing to tackle some of the most pressing issues with humor and rigor,” said Oliver in a Warner Brothers press release.
Throughout its run, Last Week Tonight has earned 30 Emmy® Awards and numerous accolades, including three Peabody Awards and nine consecutive PGA Awards. “We’re proud of the work we’ve done, and excited to keep pushing boundaries this season,” Oliver added.
