Scott Speedman has become the most recent cast member to join Ryan Murphy’s HBO pilot, Open. The provocative show will explore relationships and issues of sex and intimacy, focusing on a variety of characters in doing so.
Speedman will be playing Jonathan, an attractive marketing executive, TVLine reports. He will appear alongside Wes Bentley, who was the first to be cast (as the arrogant Evan Foster) earlier this month.
Open marks Ryan Murphy’s second collaboration with HBO. His television movie “the Normal Heart”, based on the play by Larry Kramer, recently started filming and is expected to air on the cable network in early 2014.
Speedman’s television credits include Felicity and, more recently, the short-lived ABC series Last Resort.
