Mother Monster, I mean, Lady Gaga will be returning to season 6 of American Horror Story on FX.
During an interview on Friday with New York radio station, Z100, Lady Gaga revealed she will be returning for the next installment of FX’s horror anthology series, American Horror Story. When prompted during the phone-in interview if she would be returning to American Horror Story, Gaga confirmed with “yes.” Despite confirming her return to TV, she was unable to share any of the specifics. “I can’t promise you how or when or anything like that,” Gaga added.
Earlier this year, Lady Gaga won the Golden Globe for best actress in a limited series or TV movie for her performance in American Horror Story: Hotel. In the most recent season, Gaga had a lead role as the Countess, but she’s not giving away what kind of role she might have in the next season.
Series creator Ryan Murphy told Entertainment Weekly that the new season will be “very, very different” from Hotel. “Not smaller. But just not opulent. More rogue and more dark.” He also revealed there may be more than one season of American Horror Story during the next TV season with one season airing in the fall and a second in the spring.
TV Guide reports that FX President John Landgraf revealed that season 6 will be set in the present day but will show a lot of flashbacks.
Not word has been released about the subtitle for the next season, although fake promo pictures have been circulating social media suggesting themes such as American Horror Story: Village and American Horror Story: Cruise.
