According to Deadline, The creator behind Sons of Anarchy, Kurt Sutter (Sons of Anarchy, Mayans M.C.) is working with Apple TV to create a new biker show with Jason Momoa (Aquaman, Chief of War) set to star in it. The show will be called Nomad.
According to Deadline, Jason Momoa (Aquaman, Chief of War), will play a character in the violent underworld of New Zealand’s outlaw bikers. His character is said to be a warrior torn between two lives, two callings and two families must decide which path will define his destiny. New Zealand is also known for creating visceral films such as Once Were Warriors.
Helping Kurt Sutter (Sons of Anarchy, Mayans M.C.) with this series is Chris Collins (The Wire, John Wick: Chapter 3 Parabellellum) who will both write pilot for the series. According to Screen Rant, Nomad would be the third series that Jason Momoa (Aquaman, Chief of War) would be apart of at Apple TV. Jason Momoa (Aquaman, Chief of War) is not a stranger to high-octane entertainment because of his work in Fast X.
According to Deadline, Jason Momoa (Aquaman, Chief of War), was apart of another Apple TV show called Chief of War, where it was set in Hawaii and was apart of a biker docuseries on Discovery called On The Roam. He was apart of A Minecraft Movie, which was said to be a sleeper hit in the box office which managed to gross nearly $1 billion for Warner Bros which resulted in a sequel being in the works.
According to Screen Rant, Kurt Sutter (Sons of Anarchy, Mayans M.C.) never got a chance to explore the origin story of biker gang founder John Teller, however with Nomad, this will provide him with opportunities that could have him return to the open road. We’ll have to keep our eyes peeled for any trailers or inside looks when it comes to the series.
