Korean Drama ‘The Glory’ Remains Netflix’s Most Viewed TV Show For Second Week

According to Deadline, Korean mystery drama The Glory sits at the top of Netflix’s global charts, even in its second week. Part one of the thriller was released last December with a total of eight episodes. The much-anticipated second part of the season debuted on March 10 with another eight episodes.

From March 13-19, The Glory claimed 123.59 million hours viewed. The series currently lies at the seventh spot on Netflix’s Most Popular (Non-English) List, with a total of 380.38 million hours viewed within the first month of its release.

The series follows Moon Dong-eun, portrayed by Song Hye-Kyo (The Grandmaster, Descendants of the Sun), “who sets out on an elaborate revenge plot to make her tormenters pay years after she survived horrific abuse in high school,” via Variety.

The show is performing remarkably well. It is competing against the final five episodes of You season four, which dropped on March 9, and the season two debut of fantasy series Shadow and Bone, which was released on March 16. You continues to keep its number one spot, with 64.1 million hours viewed compared to Shadow and Bone’s 50.4 million hours viewed. It is important to note that You has the advantage, having been released one week before Shadow and Bone.

Other titles in the Top 10 list are MH370: The Plane That Disappeared, a limited series documentary about a Malaysian Airlines flight that disappeared in 2014, Outer Banks season three, OutlastSex/Life, and Perfect MatchWednesday also returned to the charts, claiming the eighth spot, after falling out of the list last week.

The cast of The Glory includes Lee Do-hyun (Sweet Home, 18 Again), Lim Ji-yeon (Obsessed, High Society), Yeom Hye-ran (The Uncanny Counter, Memories of Murder), Park Sung-hoon (Three Days, Into the Ring), and Jung Sung-il (When Flowers Bloom, I Think of the Moon; Stranger), among others.

The Glory is streaming now on Netflix.
