Knuckles Punches His Way Onto Screens; Official Trailer Released For New Paramount+ Series

Paramount+ dropped the official trailer for Knuckles, the highly anticipated spin-off series exploring the world of the iconic red echidna from the Sonic the Hedgehog universe. We have first saw the iconic character in the Sonic two movie, who was voiced by Idris Elba(The Suicide Squad). According to Screenrant, the show’s premise will follow the title character as he trains deputy sheriff, Wade Widdle, played by Adam Pally(Search Party). The series will fit in the timeline between the second and third film.

According to IMDB, the mini series will be directed by the combined minds of Carol Baker(Dogma), Brandon Trost(The Disaster Artist), Ged Wright(Attack The Block), Jeff Fowler(Gopher Broke), and Jorma Taccone(The Lego Movie).

The trailer opens up with with some shots of Knuckles, including one of him running in the forest and one of him walking through a portal. According to Screenrant, along with the return of Idris as the title character, it is confirmed that Colleen O’Shaughnessey(Danny Phantom) and Ben Schwartz (Renfield) will reprise their roles as Sonic and Tail. The series will consist of six episodes and will be available to stream on Paramount+ on April 26.

Knuckles will confront a villainous duo played by Kid Cupi(Trolls Band Together) and Ellie Tayler(Ted Lasso) equipped with weapons powered by his quill. According to Screenrant, with the mention of Robotnik’s name, the serie’s storyline will directly lead to the next movie, and it has been confirmed that Jim Carey(The Mask) will be returning as the mad scientist himself.

Overall, Knuckles promises an exciting blend of action, humor, and adventure, expanding the Sonic the Hedgehog cinematic universe in a thrilling new direction.
