Khandi Alexander Set to Return to ABC’s ‘Scandal’

Mama Pope, played by Khandi Alexander, is returning to the ABC hit series Scandal, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

Kerry Washington’s character, Olivia, and Maya Pope (Alexander) will make her return to the series in the midseason finale, set to air November 20th. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the episode will be titled “Where the Sun Don’t Shine”.

Although plot details are not yet released, Tony Goldwyn will be directing this episode, if that is any indicator of the chaos that is about to come! For those unfamiliar with the show, Goldwyn plays President Fitzgerald Grant in the show. The president’s eldest son in the show was killed by Maya Pope.

Mama Pope’s last appearance on the show was back on the third season’s finale, when Goldyn’s character realizes his lover’s mother was the one responsible for his son’s death.

Alexander will also join a few other guests of the season, including Paul Adelstein, Jasika Nicole, Michael Trucco, and Brian Benben.

Tune in to Scandal Thursdays at 9 p.m. on ABC.
