Paramount Network’s hit show Yellowstone is set to return for its fifth season this summer, Deadline reports. The exact premiere date has yet to be announced.
The Taylor Sheridan (Wind River, 1883) drama, which stars Wes Bentley (American Horror Story) and features the return of Josh Lucas (Sweet Home Alabama) as young John Dutton, has been a major success for the network. In fact, the season five trailer set streaming records with 14.4 million views and 1.7 million engagements within the first 24 hours of its release, per Deadline. The season premiere was also up 52% in adults 18-34 compared to the season four debut, with over 12 million viewers tuning in across multiple Viacom-owned platforms.
In addition to the core cast, Season five also welcomed new cast members Jacki Weaver (Animal Kingdom), Kylie Rogers (Home Before Dark), Kyle Red Silverstein (Blended), Kai Caster (American Horror Story), singer Lainey Wilson, Lilli Kay (Your Honor), and Dawn Olivieri (House of Lies). The show was co-created by Sheridan and John Linson (The Outsider), with Linson, Art Linson (Where the Buffalo Roam), Sheridan, Kevin Costner (Waterworld), David C. Glasser (Hidden Obsession), Bob Yari (Haven), and Stephen Kay (Boogeyman) serving as executive producers.
