Deadline has learned that Netflix‘s eight-episode comedy series No Good Deed, which was created by Liz Feldman (Dead to Me, One Big Happy), has cast Kevin Alves (Yellowjackets, Fear Street Part One: 1994) in a recurring role. The performer portrays Nate, Denis Leary’s (Rescue Me, Ice Age) Mikey’s bitter, tough-edged son, with whom he has a tense relationship. The cast features Linda Cardellini (Scooby-Doo, Daddy’s Home), Luke Wilson (Legacy Blonde, Idiocracy), Abbi Jacobson (Broad City, Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising), Poppy Liu (Dead Ringers, ICarly), Leary, O-T Fagbenle (Maxxx, The Handmaid’s Tale), and Ray Romano (Everybody Loves Raymond, Somewhere In Queens) and Lisa Kudrow (Friends, Easy A) as the lead actors, which was previously announced.
Deadline claims that the dark comedy No Good Deed, which consists of thirty-minute episodes, centers on three distinct families competing to purchase the same 1920s Spanish-style mansion, which they believe holds the key to all of their problems. The dream house can occasionally turn out to be a complete nightmare as the sellers have already found out.

The Canadian-born Alves is best known for playing the teenage Travis on Showtime’s hit series Yellowjackets, which is currently in its third season and has received ten Emmy nominations in its first two seasons. According to Deadline, Alves has also had recurring roles on Netflix’s Locke & Key and Freeform’s Shadowhunters. Two Sentence Horror Stories, The Expanse, Degrassi: The Next Generation, and Warehouse 13 are among the other TV credits.
Alves’s next feature debut will be as a star of Lucky Weekend, a comedy that he directed from his own script. D2 Management, Connekt Creative, and Bloch Law represent the rising star.
