Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ Drama May Be Too Much for Kanye West

Last night, E! aired its eighth season of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, the reality television show that follows the Kardashian and Jenner families through their ups and downs.

According to Hollywood Reporter, Sunday night’s premiere averaged three million viewers; its best premiere in three years and a six percent increase from the previous season’s opener. In addition, Keeping Up with the Kardashians delivered an E-online record-breaking number of same-day online uniques. The show still failed to reach its peak views that accompanied Kourtney’s baby delivery from last season or Kim’s two part fairy tale wedding. The two milestone episodes brought in 3.6 and 4 million viewers, making them the series’ most popular episodes.

Of course, it is no question that middle sister Kim gets the most screen time. It seems like Kim’s obsession with herself is brought up in every other episode. As Kim’s pregnancy continues to make the cover of the most popular tabloids and Kim continues to hold the spotlight, viewers find themselves asking, “Where is Kanye?” It is evident that baby-daddy Kanye West has had scarce appearances in the series compared to her sisters’ men Scott Disick and Lamar Odom. In an interview with Extra, step-dad Bruce Jenner tells Maria Menounos that he has “only met him once,” adding, “He’s never … he’s not around.” Maybe West prefers not to insert himself in the Kardashian drama, or maybe he’s just waiting for Kim’s divorce from ex Kris Humpries to finally finalize.

There is no doubt that America loves watching the Kardashian/Jenner drama and all the game-changing events thrown their way. On this season of the Kardashians, in addition to Kim’s pregnancy, Entertainment Weekly informs us that younger sisters Kendall and Kylie will be given more screen time. It’s bound to be an interesting season, tune in for next week’s episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians Sunday nights on E!
