Deadline reports Katherine Heigl may return to television to star in a CIA drama.
Heigl’s last TV appearance was as Dr. Isobel Stevens in Gray’s Anatomy. Since then, she has been starring in movies such as “Killers” and “One For The Money”. She has also been focusing on spending time with her family.
Three years later, Heigl is expected to return in a new drama written by Alexi Hawley, the supervising producer of Fox’s The Following.
USA Today reports that NBC and other networks are currently negotiating for the project.
“Oh yeah, sometimes, yeah. You miss it. I miss my friends,” Heigl told Barbara Walters last year when asked if she was sorry to have left the Gray’s Anatomy. “It was a great work environment… and it becomes a family. I spent six years together with these people every day… you grow up together, in a way.”
