Katey Sagal and Kurt Sutter are teaming up again for new project, while also revisiting the possibility of returning to the Sons of Anarchy universe, according to Deadline. The pair is collaborating on Khorus Harmonia, a limited-run choral concert created and led by Katey Sagal (Futurama, Married… with Children), with writing and staging by Kurt Sutter (Sons of Anarchy, The Shield).
The production will run for a series of performances in Los Angeles, marking a shift from their usual television work into live performance. The project focuses on music and shared experience, with Sagal leading the concept and Sutter shaping its narrative structure. Tickets for the event have already gone on sale, signaling early interest in the collaboration.
Alongside the announcement, Sutter addressed ongoing interest in a potential Sons of Anarchy prequel. While nothing is officially in development, he made it clear that the idea is still possible. He noted that there are still stories to explore within the franchise, but any return would depend on timing and whether the project feels right creatively.
Sons of Anarchy, which aired from 2008 to 2014, followed an outlaw motorcycle club in California and became one of FX’s most successful series. The show later expanded into a larger franchise with Mayans M.C., continuing its world and themes.
mxdwn previously covered the expansion of that universe, including the early renewal of Mayans M.C. for a fourth season. That report highlighted how the spinoff continued to build on the original series’ foundation while establishing its own identity, showing the franchise’s ability to grow beyond its initial run.
Sutter’s latest comments suggest that the same potential still exists. While a prequel centered on the motorcycle club’s origins has been discussed in the past, it remains in a possible but uncertain stage.
For now, Khorus Harmonia stands as the latest collaboration between Sagal and Sutter. The project reflects a different creative direction, focusing on music and live storytelling rather than television.
At the same time, the door to Sons of Anarchy is not fully closed. As Sutter indicated, the story could continue if the right opportunity comes along.
