Katee Sackhoff is going to star as Niko Breckenridge in Netflix’s Another Life. Sackoff as played in another sci-fi series as Captain Kara “Starbuck” Thrace in Battlestar Galactica for four seasons on SyFy. She has also starred in Longmire (which had its final two season on Netflix), and recently was in the CW’s The Flash as Amunet Black.
Another Life is a space drama that Netflix as ordered straight to series. The 10-episode season focuses on the astronaut Niko. The crew’s mission is to explore a an alien artifact’s genesis. While her and the young crew investigate it, they end up facing unexpected danger on what might become a one way mission.
The series is created by Aaron Martin (Slasher, Saving Hope, DeGrassi: The Next Generation) who will be the showrunner as well. Noreen Halpern will serve as an executive producer. Halfire Entertainment (which also produces Alias Grace for Netflix) will produce the series.
This will not only be Sackoff’s return to Netflix, but also her return to the sci-fi genre.
